Benjamin Adamson's love for music began at an early age. He first picked up the trumpet at age 9 after hearing Dizzy Gillespie on a recording his mother gave to him.

Coincidentally, his parents chose Miles as his middle name, sealing his fate as a brass musician for life. Since then, he’s hardly put his love and passion for music to the side.

The Los Angeles–based trumpeter, composer, arranger, and producer has toured and performed with the likes of Brandon Coleman’s Space Talker trio opening up for Flying Lotus on the road, with Mac Miller as Larry Lovestein on his MTV2 reality series, also touring the world and dazzling audiences with jazz, soul, chamber, punk rock, and electric sound worlds.

He can also be heard on Mac Miller’s GO:OD AM and Protoje’s Dreamy Eyes.

Adamson, is a graduate of UCLA’s prestigious Ethnomusicology program and Kenny Burrell’s jazz program. He also studied at Orange County High School of the Arts and performed around LA in Reggie Andrews’ multi-school jazz band during his formative years with future innovators including Kamasi Washington, Ronald Bruner Jr., Ryan Porter, and Cameron Graves, some of whom he has featured on his latest records.

Adamson’s music blends lyrical trumpet and flugelhorn with piano, synthesizers, and ensemble writing. His work explores intuition, resilience, community, beauty, and personal transformation; it is music made for reflection, connection, and forward motion.
